I am a big fan of a quick Pret a Manger lunch and have been bemoaning the fact that they stopped selling their no bread falafel sandwich a while back!

I was delighted today to see that they have a range of new items on the menu, including this Morrocan chickpea no bread sandwich.

This is a double whammy for chickpea fanatics like myself.  First of all there is houmus, scattered with a few pomegranate seed and then there is the harissa spiced chickpea salad which has a lovely spicy aroma.  It comes served with  rocket, cucumber, mustard cress, coriander and a wedge of lemon to squeeze over.

This is definitely a great new menu item and it really appeals to my tastebuds.

Well done Pret!

  1. I didn’t know these were still around. I beielve they were once owned by McDonalds (yes, that McDonalds) and sold off. I’ve only seen them in NYC, but enjoyed picking up a bite there, but never stumble across them anymore when I’m in the city.
